Every day there are new distractions vying for every dime in your pocket. But stop to think, if you don’t need the money you earn, why does anyone else need it? And why are they always showing off all the things they brought with the money you “earned,” but don’t want?
Money is a tool. It helps you to take care of your family. Because you were born in poverty does not mean you have to live, forever, in poverty.
Start were you are, then slowly move up in life. But you need your money to get there. Write out a simple budget. Know all of your expenses. First, see if you can consolidate all those expenses into one. It is easier to pay down one large expense by paying the scheduled principal and payment, then as many interest-free payments as possible. Interest-free payments mean you are paying a lot more to the money you owe, than interest to vendors. If that is not an option, begin paying off the smallest expense first, then move to the next. Increase the payments to each debt you tackle.
